Platform! FSN Successful TV Poker
Tournament Becomes Mobile Game
BOSTON--Sept. 23, 2004--Chasma Inc, a
leading publisher in wireless
entertainment is set to launch the Poker
Superstar Invitational Tournament (PSIT)
exclusively to the wireless gaming
community. The PSIT currently airs on
FSN, Sunday evenings at 9 p.m. ET
through October 31st. A two-hour Grand
Finale will air on NBC on Super Bowl
Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005 from 4-6 p.m. ET.
Under the agreement, Chasma will deliver
a Mobile Internet Game version of PSIT
for the BREW(TM) and J2ME(TM) platforms.
The PSIT tournament
features all professionals who battle
one another in Texas HoldEm, where as
other tournaments have a mix of amateurs
with professionals, and boasts the
talent of eight of the world's best
poker players: Doyle Brunson, TJ
Cloutier, Chip Reese, Johnny Chan, Barry
Greenstein, Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen and
Howard Lederer. The PSIT mobile game
will offer player tutorials throughout
the game from the top-notch players, a
takeoff of the PSIT "Poker Minutes"
where the pros discuss tournament action
and provide tips designed to help
viewers improve the quality of their
game. Additionally, the PSIT game will
take advantage of Chasma's robust mobile
game community server technology that
incorporates features such as address
book import, intelligent player
matching, buddy lists and single user
sign on, creating a dynamic community of
players.
