Well I hit the casino up again last night. I was there forever. I had been waiting for over an hour for the 6-12 game, so I decided to have some fun at a 2-4 table. I flop top 2 pair on my big blind, raise it as long as I can, but the small blind runner runner's a straight. I don't like 2-4 just because of all of the BS hands like that. I ended up getting to the 6-12 game which was very slow. We couldn't build a pot to save our lives. I had two tough beats, one of which I flopped a set of aces, me having 2 in my hand, loosing to another straight. I got the call for no limit and played very tight. My first hand I had pocket kings, so I raised preflop and got 2 callers. The flop came out, KJQ, all rags. I was on the button, and had both players before me raise, putting me nearly all in. I called and lost to a straight. I had to play very tight now, as I was the shortstack by quite a bit (The ATM machine wasn't paying me that night, so I choose not to rebuy). After throwing away some pretty decent hands, I land pocket 6's, which was raised preflop. I called, only because those were the best cards I'd seen in an hour. The flop came, Q66. The turn came Ace, the river a queen. This was the point where I wanted to shoot myself for not having any bankroll behind my 6's. In the pot, were 2 guys who had the Q's, and I had quad sixes, and I could barely make any money on it. I played tight for awhile, not able to pick up a decent enough kicker to win me a pot. I picked up pocket 10's, and I tried to slow play them. It was heads up, the flop 7h4h3h. Without even looking at his cards, he went all in, more than enough to cover my chips. This was the point where I needed something to happen. I didn't have a heart, but I didn't think this guy did either. He wouldn't look at me, or anywhere on the table. I thought he was bluffing, so I called him. He turned over a set of 3's, beating me until the 10 came on the river. I jumped for joy just because I had doubled my stack on a tough call, and I got lucky too! Well, after losing some tough hands, I get down to my last hand. I was put on a loose no limit table, where I was shortstacked by at least $200. On my big blind, I was given Q-J spades. Only one player called. The flop came QJ9. I made a $50 bet, and he quickly put me all in. I thought my top 2 pair had it, and it did. He flipped over Q-A. The turn came K, and the river came king. I go from having top 2 pair, to losing to the paired bored. Would you guys consider that a tough beat? It sure felt like it, I grinded last night and ended up down $300. Hope you all had a good night on Friday...
